Now that it is over

I am exhausted! The showcase finished last night, and it went a lot better than the first night. I expected to have an energy lull, because there usually is on the second night, but the energy levels were way up with everyone. I wasn't pleased with my performance on the first night, but I am really happy how it went last night. I ws tired today though, and I couldn't lie in bed either. Life goes on!

Dramatics

I spent the afternoon in Dublin today rehearsing for my showcase. I'm doing the Performance Year in Acting in the Gaiety school of acting and it is ending with a showcase. The performance is tomorrow evening and again on Tuesday evening. I feel totally unprepared. I know my lines, I've rehearsed, I've listened to the advice of my tutor and I understand what he is saying, I've thought about my character, but somehow it just hasn't clicked into place yet. Maybe I am worrying needlessly. I don't know, but I hope to get another good chunk of rehearsing done tomorrow afternoon before the performance. It doesn't help that I am really tired at the moment and my sleeping patterns have been disturbed.

To boldly go...

where I've never gone before, almost! So I've got six months to dedicate to writing full time and it's great! The time will probably fly past. I've been working on my books for a couple of years now, and I want to get the trilogy completed and sent out to agents before the end of the summer. I've the office, the chair, the pc, the internet connection - so what's stopping me? Nothing! It is kind of scary, because I want to make sure I make the most of this opportunity.
