Medical Miracles

I was impressed when they gave a woman a new face.
I was somewhat creeped out when they gave a man two new hands.
Now I am stunned by this amazing story. They grew this woman a new bronchus to her left lung using her own stem cells. She isn't on any immunosuppressants and so far everything is going well post op.
What next? I love the way science fact is catching up with science fiction.

Isnt that always the case? :)

Science fact is stranger than science fiction!

Very true, Dude. That's one of the reasons I love the genre.

Hi Nishaa. I know it is a cliche, but truth IS really stranger than fiction. I love watching those tv programmes about people with strange diseases and it always makes me think - if I wrote a story about that, people would think it was fantasy.

Yes, it's exciting to live in this world of possibility isn't? We can finally grow George W. a brain. I know it comes a little too late, but it's the thought that counts. At the very least we could grow him a nice set of tits.

Eh, no, Valpot. That is a photo of the woman who got a bronchus transplant after TB destroyed her old one. If you want to see the woman with the face transplant you should click on the link or do a search. It is amazing the difference between her post op face (very scary) and her face as it looks now after healing, etc (very normal).
