I've done some revamping to my website - streamlining and updating, that sort of thing. I'd really appreciate it if you would pop over to it (click here) and let me know what you think.
Thanks.
Inky.

I thought it looked fantastic, loved the weaver of tales and the plant leaves weaving. It looks and sounds very professional (which I know you are) and the associate member of Horror Writers Association sounds impressive especially with the little icon below. I wonder should you do a links section? You could put links to your publications and the writers retreat??? What about a description of your work - to whet the appitite? I think it is 'Excellent' (another homage to BIll and Ted - don't know know why, I was never that big a fan)
I like the new look, it is more sophisticated & very professional, but you had a lot more on your old website. Also I thought you had more publicaitons than listed??ANyway, the list of publicatons looks good, looking forward to seeing lots more added during 2009!
Oooo me like. Did I ever tell you that your pic is lovely?
So I agree with Shadow, the font should be larger for 'Weaver of Tales' as well as for the links on the right hand side. They are too small right now.
Inkpot, I am a marketer, and I do some of this for a living, so we tend to be a bit too picky! PLEASE feel free to discard anything you want. These are just my thoughts and I am being very candid. :)
Personally, I don't know if you need 'Welcome to the site of' - I think it makes more of a statement if it starts with 'Iseult Murphy - Write Actor and Artist'.
Move the Guestbook and View Entries perhaps on the right, below the four links? People are more likely to click on it when it is easily noticeable. Now, they have to scroll to the bottom of the page.
On my screen the Drabbler magazine gets cut off half way, Can it be moved so that it is shows up completely?
Email: While it is good to have the email link take you directly to a default email, it can be cumbersome for people who do not use outlook etc. So, you should consider doing two things: 1. Stating your email address as well for users who would like to use their own personal email acconts e.g. Yahoo, Gmail etc. 2. On the same page you can create an empty box (if feasible) where people can submit their qtns/comments. These can be directed to your email account.
Thought: When you click on 'Inkpot Files' can it open in a New window? It's just a better way to ensure that a person may still continue to spend time on BOTH sites. You dont want to willingly send them off a site, even if it to your own blog. why not have both windows open :)
Last thought, I promise: Example: When I am on the publications page, and if I want to go back to the homepage, I have to click on Iseult Murphy which is the right way to do it. However, often, users are used to clicking on the main logo area as well. Can you have the header, i.e. where your name and weaver of tales appears and 'weaver of tales' be linked to the home page?
Ok I promise thats it. Sorry about the long comment and detailed thoughts! Well you must regret asking me my thoughts...lol
Most comments very simple fixes, if you like them. Again, these are only MY two cents. Each one sees it differently, in the end the site should reflect who YOU are! :)

Thanks Anon. The publication page is linked to the appropriate publication if you click on the story title. Good ideas about putting in links.
Thanks DNOTY2007. And there I was thinking my publication record wasn't too bad. Ah well.
It's prettier now. :) Wecan do much better soon enough, when you decide to do another spring cleaning. Yes?
.... can you make the headings bigger?
the 'weaver of tales' looks small.
get it bigger and bolder inky. you wanna sell right?
Thanks Shadowthorne, they are great suggestions. I look into making it bigger and bolder over the weekend. :)
